Lugoff is a small town located in Kershaw County, South Carolina. The town is situated approximately 14 miles northeast of the city of Camden, and about 35 miles northeast of the state capital, Columbia. The town covers an area of approximately 20 square miles.
Lugoff is primarily a residential community with a mixture of suburban and rural areas. Various shops, restaurants and services are scattered around the town, with most of them located along US Highway 1, which runs roughly parallel to Interstate 20, which passes through the north part of the town.
There are several rivers and lakes located around Lugoff, including Lake Wateree, which is the largest lake in the region, and provides opportunities for boating, fishing and other outdoor recreation. There are also a number of parks and nature preserves located in and around the town. These include the Wateree Creek Heritage Preserve, the Limehouse Boat Landing and Taylor Creek Wildlife Management Area.
